THE SCOUTING PROGRAM AND DONEGAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The Scouting Program is a complex and well-organized national movement, but the values instilled and taught to the participants are reliant on highly qualifed and well-trained local adult leaders. Part of our responsibility as a Charter Organization is to see that only the highest quality adult leaders are working with the Scouts. A good review of the overall Scout program can be found at http://usscouts.org/aboutbsa/bsaorg.asp, including a brief review of the commitment we have made to the Scouts. In the chartered organization relationship, the Boy Scouts of America provides the program and support services, and the chartered organization provides the adult leadership and uses the program to accomplish its goals for youth.
