Christmas Holidays Can Be Painful
The joy of Christmas can turn into a time of painful loneliness and emptiness for those who have suffered a loss or who are going through a difficult time. But help is available. Our Stephen Ministers are ready to provide confidential, one-to-one, Christian care. They will listen, care, encourage, pray with and for you, and support you through the holidays and as long as your need persists. To learn more about Stephen Ministry for yourself or someone you know, talk with one of our Stephen Ministry Leaders listed in the bulletin.  Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you.

What is Stephen Ministry?

Stephen Ministry is an active Distinctively Christian Care ministry reaching out to churches and the community.  Upon the completion of 50 hours in training, and commissioning, Stephen Ministers are prepared to minister to hurting people dealing with difficult issues such as: long-term health care, death, divorce, new birth, moving to a different home, hospitalization, aging parents, to name a few.

Commissioned  Stephen Ministers are then designated as 'Care Givers', and assigned to a same gender 'Care Receivers', having completed a brief referral process. This begins the one-on-one caring relationship.

"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2
